About
My name is Lauren Kalt, and I am an aspiring teen librarian and Young Adult fantasy writer. I currently work as a bookseller at Barnes and Noble, and I am an occasional copy editor at Waxwing magazine. I was previously a fiction editor and copy editor at The Tunnels magazine and an editorial intern at Midnight Publishing.
I received my BA in English with honors at Northern Arizona University, and I minored in studio art, French, and received a certificate in creative writing. I am currently working toward receiving my Masters in Library and Information Sciences at Simmons University.
I believe that stories are magical and have the power to create change and open our eyes to new perspectives. I am especially interested in lifting up the voices of queer authors and characters, particularly in YA fiction.
In my free time, I enjoy wading knee-deep in my constantly-growing hoard of books, writing, reading webcomics, and drawing.
